My Philosophy

My philosophy begins with the understanding that everyone of us has the right to be heard and to own our experiences. Listening with non-judgement and compassion is integral to the way I work. I aim to provide a warm, caring and non threatening environment in which to explore ways to break the inertia and move towards the life that you most want to live.

The elements that underpin Positive Psychology run through my work. I am passionate about helping people to find pathways to energised and engaged lives, to be their best selves. Through insightful, respectful conversations together, we can move towards meaningful change.

I am a Narrative Coach Certified Practitioner. I strongly identify with and embrace the work of Dr David Drake. Narrative Coaching starts from the premise that we all have stories we tell ourselves that help us make sense of our lives. They get stronger with the telling and can become our unquestioned truth. Some stories and beliefs are powerfully important and improve our relationships and engagement with what we are doing. But sometimes they don’t serve us very well. They can keep us stuck in patterns that prevent us from living our most fulfilling and authentic lives.

Coaching is a way of finding a different story, that facilitates new perspectives and helps us to let go of the things that hold us back. It is for people ready to look at things in a new way in order to effect positive and meaningful change.
